SALLY HANSEN INSTA DRI X JELLY BELLY COLLECTION - SWATCHES & REVIEW

Delicious and memorable, Jelly Belly jellybeans are the perfect inspiration for the stunningly sweet limited-edition Sally Hansen x Jelly Belly Insta Dri collection; delivering craveable colour to your fingertips, sweet enough to eat!

First Crayola, now Jelly Belly?!
I am seriously loving these collaborations!

Today I will be reviewing the 8 limited-edition Sally Hansen x Jelly Belly polishes that were released in Australia (there were 11 shades in total released in the US).

COCONUT
Coconut is a stark white nail polish shade.
I love how clean and manicured my nails look with this on.
It would look amazing with a tan!

The formula is good! It applies SLIGHTLY patchy (as do most white nail polishes) but it effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It's SUPER pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats, depending on application and personal preference.
My swatch shows two coats.

VERY CHERRY
Very Cherry is a bright red nail polish shade.
Eye-searingly bright! You'll need sunglasses with this one!

The formula is perfection!!! The polish basically applies itself. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's SUPER SUPER SUPER pigmented, covers REALLY well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in ONE THIN COAT! No question about it! One coat is all you need!

PEACH
Peach is a peachy-orange nail polish shade with red metallic glitter (medium, small and micro sized) scattered throughout it.
I surprisingly like this one! I'll admit, it kind of reminds me of vomit, but I'll still wear it, AND enjoy it!

This one has a crelly formula, meaning the base colour is bordering on sheer / jelly-like (intentionally), so the amazing glitters can peek through. Multiple coats gives it a really cool layered glitter effect.

This one is the most opaque of the crelly glitters in this collection. It applies nicely, and the glitter-to-base ratio is good. My swatch shows two coats, but I also like the way it looks in one coat.

BUTTERED POPCORN
Buttered Popcorn is a pastel yellow nail polish shade with gold metallic glitter (medium, small and micro sized) scattered throughout it.
Looks exactly like the jellybean! Very cool!

This one also has a crelly formula. It applies nicely, and the glitter-to-base ratio is good. Again, multiple coats gives it a really cool layered glitter effect. It also doesn't look too thick on the nail when layered, which I appreciate.

My swatch shows two coats.

TUTTI-FRUITTI
Tutti-Fruitti is a pink nail polish shade with gold, silver, pink, orange, red, blue and green metallic glitter (medium, small and micro sized) scattered throughout it.
I was most excited for this one in the collection! SO COOL!
I wear a polish similar to this on my Birthday every year, might switch to this one instead. It looks just like a party on your nails!

This one, again, has a crelly formula. It applies nicely, and the glitter-to-base ratio is good. Multiple coats gives it a really cool layered glitter effect. It also doesn't look too thick on the nail when layered, which I appreciate.

My swatch shows two coats, but I also like the way it looks in just one coat. So fun!

ISLAND PUNCH
Island Punch is a greyed-out purple nail polish shade.
I. LOVE. THIS. ONE! I AM SO OBSESSED!

The formula is literally PERFECT!!! The polish basically applies itself. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's vibrant, covers amazingly well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in ONE THIN COAT! No question about it!

BERRY BLUE
Berry Blue is a bright blue nail polish shade.
B-E-A-U-TIFUL!

The formula, again, is literally perfection!!! The polish basically applies itself. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's SUPER pigmented*, covers AMAZINGLY well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat! ONE COAT!
*It's so pigmented I would definitely recommend wearing a couple of coats of base coat to avoid blue staining. For the record, it didn't stain my nails, but I would still wear base coat just to be safe (no one likes Smurf hands!)

I sound like a broken record, but these creme polishes are SERIOUSLY AMAZING!

GREEN APPLE
Green Apple is a grass green nail polish shade.
I hardly ever wear green, but I really like this one!

The formula (surprise, surprise) is perfect! The polish basically applies itself. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's SUPER pigmented*, covers AMAZINGLY well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in ONE THIN COAT! No question about it!
*Again, It's so pigmented I would definitely recommend wearing a couple of coats of base coat to avoid green staining. It didn't stain my nails, but I would still wear base coat just to be safe.

I love that Sally Hansen have collaborated with Jelly Belly and that these polishes exist!
This collection is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth, without the added calories...sorry I just had to ;D

The polishes in the collection PERFECTLY match the Jelly Belly Jellybeans we all know and love. It would have been so cool if these polishes were scented...even though scented polishes tend to give me a headache, but in theory, I would have loved it.

I really like every shade in this collection, but my personal favourites are; PeachTutti-Fruitti, Island Punch & Berry Blue.

As per usual, I need to sing praise to the great quality, fast-drying formulas of the Insta Dri range, as well as the amazing wide brush which perfectly contours to the nail for smooth and easy application, in a single swipe! The bottles and printed caps are also super cute! I am obsessed!

  1. Do you still upload? If so, could you do a review of the full Sesame Street x Sally Hansen collection?
