OPALLAC LIMITED EDITION JUICY JELLY COLLECTION - SWATCHES & REVIEW

"Jelly nails" are the HOTTEST new Summer nail trend, and if you're undecided as to whether it's cool or not, wait until you see the new limited-edition Juicy Jelly Gel Polish collection by Opallac

Opallac is the Australian gel nail innovation promising glamorous salon quality gel nail colour; designed to last up to 14 days. The unique Opallac Gel formula glides on like normal nail polish and sets instantly like gel when cured by the revolutionary Opallac LED nail lamp.
NO dry time! NO chipping! NO smudges! It's easy, AND it can be done at home!

I have all 5 of the Limited-Edition Opallac Jelly gel polishes to review for you today :)

I feel like I need to make a quick disclaimer here, and acknowledge that typically, the trendy "Jelly" nail look, is achieved by applying a clear acrylic nail tip / clear sculpting gel over your natural nail, then adding a coat of transparent colour-tinted (jelly) polish over top - just Google it! I have swatched these Jelly polishes on my natural nubbins, to give you an idea of how these Jelly's look on shorter nails, as I'm sure not everyone wants to commit to false nails. So just bare that in mind.

Now, let's get into the swatches...

JELLY FROSÉ
Jelly Frosé is a jelly neon pink gel polish shade.

It applies really nice and evenly.
My swatch shows one thin coat on my natural nails.

JELLY MANGO TANGO
Jelly Mango Tango is a jelly orange gel polish shade.

It applies really nice and evenly.
My swatch shows one thin coat on my natural nails.

JELLY PIÑA COLADA
Jelly Piña Colada is a jelly yellow gel polish shade.

My swatch shows one thin coat on my natural nails.

JELLY LIME MOJITO

I think Opallac have seriously nailed the Jelly trend!
I love how vibrant, bright and glossy these jelly polishes are.
I especially love that you can achieve jelly nails at home!

Clearly, the jelly effect is not as obvious on my short nubbins as compared to longer / false nails, but I'm still digging the squishy jelly look. It just goes to show that you can still enjoy the jelly trend with shorter nails.
(Not going to lie, I do think it looks much cooler on longer nails though).

Do you dig the Jelly nail trend?
I think it's pretty cool!

BARRY M UNDER THE SEA NAIL PAINT COLLECTION - SWATCHES & REVIEW

If you are a mermaid at heart (lets be real, we all secretly kind of are), the NEW Barry M Under the Sea Nail Paint collection is for you!

These stunning nail paints, which have an amazing colour-shifting, two-tone formula, will have you glistening from every angle! Each shade has a unique combination of colour and shimmer to keep your nail game strong and on-trend this Spring / Summer!

I have the 4 Barry M Under The Sea Nail Paints, that were released in Australia, to review for you today :)

ANGELFISH
Angelfish is a pearlescent ballet slipper nude-pink nail paint, with a stunning shimmery blue sheen scattered throughout it.
So SO pretty!

The formula is lovely.

This one makes me so happy! Beautiful!

The formula is lovely.

Barry M have smashed it out of the park yet again with this collection.
I am so in LOVE with these nail paints!
They are filled with amazing and unique shimmery / colour-shifting goodness that glistens and shifts in every light - love love LOVE! So pretty and on-trend!

The formulas of these nail paints are so lovely - they are a little bit sheer when applied but still apply effortlessly onto the nail, build up nice and easily opaque, self-level really well, and dry super quickly!

These nail paints dry down with brush streaks evident, so I highly recommend using the three-stroke-method of application to limit the appearance / amount of brush streaks. The amazing wide brush these nail paints have makes the "three-stroke-method" of application effortless; which is awesome!

It's impossible for me to pick a favourite from this collection - (I am OBSESSED with all of them!!) - they're all seriously that good! Plus, the printed bottle caps are adorable!
Big thumbs up from me! Definitely recommend!

SINFULCOLORS GET BRIGHT PASTEL NEON MATTE COLLECTION 2017 - SWATCHES & REVIEW #THROWBACK

Well, hello there SinfulColors
SinfulColors is an American brand that offer affordable and on-trend nail polish; that pop, wow and flatter, in lovely creme, glitter, shimmer and matte formulas.

In mid 2017, SinfulColors released a collection of trendy and bright pastel neon nail colours, that dry down to a cool chalky matte finish.

I managed to pick up all 6 of the limited-edition Pastel Neon Matte polishes, back when they were released in 2017, for a #ThrowBack review for you today :)

IN YOUR ELEMELON
In Your Elemelon is a matte pastel neon peach-melon nail polish shade.
PERFECT for the warmer weather. I could see this looking so AMAZING on tan hands.

The formula is ok.
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It needs three - four thin coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.

MAKE A SCENE
Make a Scene is a matte bright neon bubblegum pink nail polish shade.
So girly and fun!

The formula is ok.
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It needs two - three thin easy coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.

LILAC OUT LOUD
Lilac Out Loud is a matte pastel neon lavender purple nail polish shade.
I am seriously OBSESSED with this one!

The formula is ok.
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It needs two - three thin easy coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.

QUICK STUDY
Quick Study is a matte pastel periwinkle purple-blue nail polish shade.
A lovely "blurple". I like to wear this kind of colour in Spring.

The formula is ok.
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It needs two - three thin easy coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.

UNDER THE INBLUENCE
Under The Inbluence is a matte pastel neon sky blue nail polish shade.
So SO pretty!

The formula is ok.
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It needs two - three thin easy coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.

ACID TEST
Acid Test is a matte bright pastel neon lime green nail polish shade.
Love how eye-searingly bright this green is. I don't really ever wear this shade of green on my nails, but I might just start!

The formula is ok.
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It needs two - three thin easy coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.

I really loved the beautiful bright pastel colours in this collection and their lovely velvet matte finish. BUT, I'm personally not a huge fan of the formulas. They all apply patchy and need around three coats to even the patchiness out nicely. They do however, dry down to their matte finish insanely fast, so needing to apply an extra coat of polish is really not that big a deal. This is in no way a negative review, I just personally felt the formulas were a little bit of a let down for me.

In having said that, the formulas have not influenced me wearing them in the slightest - I have worn each of the shades in this collection multiple times since getting them, and will continue to wear them. I even like adding a coat of shiny top coat over top.

My personal favourites from this collection are;
"In Your Elemelon", "Make a Scene" & "Lilac Out Loud".

Did you snag any of the polishes from this collection back in 2017?
Will you be hunting them down?

Impassable Yellow is a bright yellow nail polish shade.
Such a fun and happy colour!

Super impressed with the formula of this one - It's AMAZING (especially for a yellow nail polish!). It applies *slightly* patchy, but is still so easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail, just like butter.

* * *

I am really enjoying the Aquaproof collection - the colours are so fun, the formulas are beautiful, and they dry nice and quickly.
They are also super bright and neon WITHOUT a white base coat - AMAZING!!

Soak up the sun, show off your tan and make an impact, with these bright and bold polishes!

I'm so excited that Models Own is finally available here in Australia and can't wait to try out some more amazing colours and finishes!
