A 'phenomenal' evolution in polish technology, exclusively formulated for salon professionals, PHENOM is JESSICA Cosmetics' answer to gel nails with no UV / LED light; promising up to 10 days of lasting colour and gel-like shine.
It's fast, it shines, it lasts and it can be achieved in in 3 easy steps.  
Here's how it works - 

STEP 1: BASE COAT

Apply two thin coats of any JESSICA base coat to prepared nails (nails completely free of polish, oils, etc) - this will ensure maximum adhesion and wear.

STEP 2: PHENOM COLOUR

Apply two thin coats of your desired JESSICA Phenom colour - apply just like regular nail polish. 

STEP 3: FINALE SHINE

Apply one thin coat of the JESSICA Finale Shine top coat over the colour - this sets and cures the colour giving it a gel-like shine (no lamp needed! It hardens with natural light exposure!)


*APPLICATION TIPS: Apply thin coats of polish and ensure each coat is fully dry before applying the next coat. 


All JESSICA nail colours are Cruelty Free, Vegan and 7-Free which means they are free from nasty chemicals like Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, DBP, Camphor, Xylene and Ethyl Tosylamide - so they are gentle on you and the environment!

 SWEET KISS 

Sweet Kiss is a nice rosy pink-toned neutral nail polish shade.
Not your typical bright bubblegum pink. It looks pink, no matter how you look at it, but it's muted and more subdued - I like this one...a lot! 

The formula is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats, depending on personal preference.

 YOU MAKE ME BLUSH 

You Make Me Blush is a light caramel nude nail polish shade. 
A classic and crowd-pleaser for sure!

The formula is great! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 

It applies slightly patchy on the first coat, but builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.


 CHOCOLATE BRONZE 

Chocolate Bronze is a deep rosy neutral nail polish shade.
I always enjoy deeper neutrals like this. My favourite of the collection for sure!

The formula, yet again, is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats, depending on personal preference.

These are the first Phenom polishes I have tried and I quite like them. 
The formulas are lovely, and the quality is amazing (as you would expect from JESSICA polishes). I appreciate that they are long-lasting and dry relatively fast.

I really enjoy these kind of neutral shades for everyday wear.
Let's be honest, not all neutral nail polish shades suit every skin tone, but I can guarantee you that at least one of these beautiful blush-toned neutrals will suite you!

Dear Sheer is a classic sheer pink gel nail polish shade.

I love this one! Could not stop staring at my nails when I wore it! So SO pretty!

The formula is great and it applies effortlessly! 
It isn't streaky or patchy, self-levels well, and builds up to full opacity nicely in two thin coats. Lovely!

  BARELY THERE  

Barely There is a sheer peachy nude gel nail polish shade.

A classic neutral. A crowd pleaser for sure!

  FLUFFY BUNNY  

Fluffy Bunny is a milky white gel nail polish shade.

I love that this isn't your typical stark white-out white - It's so much more wearable! 

The formula of this one is slightly thicker than the rest, so it's important to apply the thinnest coats possible. It isn't streaky or patchy though, self-levels well, and builds up to full opacity nicely in two thin coats.

I have been on the hunt for some good natural / sheer everyday, work appropriate polishes. In my pursuit I have noticed sheer polishes tend to apply unevenly and require lots of coats to look nice. 

I can wholeheartedly say that Opallac have nailed the sheer nail trend!
The new Opallac sheers are elegant, and the formulas are lovely (I always adore Opallac gel polish formulas, and how perfectly they cure under the Opallac LED nail lamp!)

Let's be honest, not all neutral nail polish shades suit every skin tone. But I can guarantee you that at least one of these new neutral sheers will suite you!

WINE COUNTRY

Wine Country is a deep red wine nail polish shade.
I feel like you could take over the world with nails this colour!

The formula is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It applies slightly patchy but self-levels nicely.

It's super pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity in two thin easy coats.


NATURAL SPLENDOR 

Natural Splendor is a peachy nude nail polish shade.
I never tire from this kind of colour. It's a go-to and one of my favourite shades of nude.

The formula is perfection!!! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well. So so good, especially for a nude!

It's pigmented, covers REALLY well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats, depending on personal preference - it looks perfectly fine in one coat!


TOASTED PECANS

Toasted Pecans is a brown nail polish shade.
I don't typically wear brown, but now I just might! This is super pretty and flattering!

The formula, yet again, is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's super pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats, depending on preference - I think it looks better in two coats.


FALLEN LEAVES

Fallen Leaves is a brick red nail polish shade.
It's not your typical red shade. There's something special about this one.

The formula is literally perfection!!! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's vibrant, covers amazingly well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat! One coat! 

I sound like a broken record, but these polishes are seriously AMAZING!


MORNING HAZE

Morning Haze is a grey nail polish shade with copper shimmer scattered throughout it.

I love the combination of the grey and copper, in theory, BUT once you add a second coat of this polish, the amazing shimmer you see in the bottle becomes virtually non existent on the nail. I mean you can sort of see a glow if you look really closely, but it's not as vivid as I would have liked it to be. That being said, I still really like this shade of grey.

The formula of this one is thinner, but still easy to work with. It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.


MAUVE-LOUS NIGHTS

Mauve-lous Nights is a plum purple nail polish shade.
This was the first one I tried from the collection, and as soon as I applied the first stroke I gasped! 

The formula, again, is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's super vibrant, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats, depending on preference - I think it looks better in two coats.

I topped off all of these swatches with the JESSICA Brilliance High Gloss top coat. 
THIS. STUFF. IS. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! 
SO glossy and dries in a flash. Truely a stroke of brilliance!

These are the first polishes I have tried from JESSICA Cosmetics and I am so OBSESSED with them!

I think JESSICA have smashed it out of the park with this collection! The colour selection is spot on and perfect for Autumn. The formulas are literally flawless, and the quality is amazing - they are super pigmented and vibrant, they're long-lasting and they dry relatively fast.  
I seriously cannot find any faults with these polishes!
It's a big A+ from me JESSICA!

My personal favourites from the collection are; Natural Splendor, Fallen Leaves & Mauve-lous Nights.

SALLY HANSEN INSTA DRI X CRAYOLA SCHOOL'S OUT COLLECTION - SWATCHES & REVIEW #THROWBACK

Sally Hansen has collaborated with Crayola to create specially designed nail polish shades inspired by the Crayola crayon colours we all know and love. 

The limited edition Sally Hansen x Crayola Insta Dri School's Out collection (released in 2018) transports you back to that care-free time of colouring with crayons and sketching out vibrant creations.

WILD WATERMELON

Wild Watermelon is a coral "watermelon" pink nail polish shade.
A very pretty shade of pink!

The formula is absolutely amazing! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's super pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat! 


ATOMIC TANGERINE

Atomic Tangerine is a classic orange nail polish shade.
Perfect for Summer! 

The formula is amazing! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's super pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats! 


INCHWORM

Inchworm is a chartreuse green nail polish shade.
Some may call this an "ugly-pretty colour". 

The formula is amazing for this type of colour! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's super pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats! 


BLUETIFUL

Bluetiful is a cobalt blue nail polish shade.
Very SH "Pacific Blue"-esque, but it's not a dupe *cries*. 
A lovely shade of blue nonetheless. 

The formula is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's extremely pigmented*, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat!  
*It's so pigmented I would definitely recommend wearing a couple of coats of base coat to avoid blue staining. For the record, it didn't stain my nails, but I would still wear base coat just to be safe (no one likes Smurf hands!) 


RAZZLE DAZZLE ROSE

Razzle Dazzle Rose is a fuchsia pink nail polish shade.
OBSESSED with this shade of pink! Always have been, always will be!

The formula is perfection! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's super pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat! 


APRICOT

Apricot is a peach nail polish shade. 
I LOOOVE this colour!

The formula is great especially for the type of colour it is! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It's slightly patchy but it self-levels nicely.

It's super pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats!

This collection is super cool! I really like the colours and formulas.
I love that Sally Hansen has collaborated with Crayola and that the Insta Dri range has made a comeback here in Australia, after being discontinued years ago.

Sally Hansen have these Insta Dri polishes labelled as "1 stroke. 1 coat. [And] Dry in 60 seconds."
I will say, these polishes do have an amazing wide brush that contours to the nail for smooth and easy application, which I love. They are also really good quality nail polishes and dry super fast. I disagree that they are all opaque in one coat though - I mean most of them are definitely pigmented and opaque enough for a quick and easy out-the-door mani, but I would personally add a second coat for a flawless manicure (and my OCD). 

I cannot wait for the Sally Hansen Insta Dri range to expand - I am especially excited for the Sally Hansen x Jelly Belly collection to launch in Australia!!!
