SALLY HANSEN INSTA DRI X CRAYOLA METALLIC GLAM ROCK COLLECTION - SWATCHES & REVIEW

Sally Hansen have collaborated with Crayola again to create specially designed nail polish shades inspired by the amazing metallic Crayola crayon colours we all know and love. 

The limited-edition Sally Hansen x Crayola Insta Dri range pairs bright colours with metallic finishes for shades that go beyond the usual silver and gold, to keep us right on the metallic beauty trend. 


I have all 12 polishes from the limited-edition collection to review for you today :)



RAZZMIC BERRY

Razzmic Berry is a violet purple nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it. 


SHIMMERING BLUSH

Shimmering Blush is a raspberry pink-red nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it. 


BIG DIP O'RUBY

Big Dip O'Ruby is a brick red nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it. 


BITTERSWEET SHIMMER

Bittersweet Shimmer is an apple red-orange nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it. 


ALLOY ORANGE

Alloy Orange is a pumkin orange nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it. 


METALLIC SUNBURST

Metallic Sunburst is a yellow gold nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it. 


SHEEN GREEN

Sheen Green is a green nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it. 


METALLIC SEAWEED

Metallic Seaweed is a teal green nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it. 


B'DAZZLED BLUE

B'Dazzled Blue is an indigo blue nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it. 


SONIC SILVER

Sonic Silver is a grey-led silver nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it. 


DEEP SPACE SPARKLE

Deep Space Sparkle is a gunmetal nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it. 


BLAST OFF BRONZE

Blast Off Bronze is a chocolate brown nail polish shade with silver metallic shimmer scattered throughout it.

This collection is SUPER cool - I'm a sucker for metallic nail polish! 

The formula of the polishes in this collection are pure perfection! All 12 polishes are super easy to apply and effortlessly glide onto the nail, just like butter. They are not streaky or patchy and self-level SO well.
They are ALL SUPER pigmented, cover amazingly well and build up to full opacity nice and easily in ONE THIN COAT!!! That's right, ONE COAT!

Sally Hansen have their Insta Dri polishes labelled as "1 stroke. 1 coat. [And] Dry in 60 seconds." These polishes have an amazing wide brush that contours perfectly to the nail for smooth and easy application, which I love. They are also really good quality nail polishes and dry super fast. They are definitely pigmented and considered opaque enough for a quick and easy out-the-door mani, but I would personally add a second coat for a flawless manicure (and my OCD). 

I love that Sally Hansen has collaborated with Crayola and that the Insta Dri range has made a comeback here in Australia, after being discontinued years ago.I cannot wait for the Sally Hansen Insta Dri range to expand further - I am especially excited to get my hands on the newly released Sally Hansen x Jelly Belly collection!

SALLY HANSEN INSTA DRI X CRAYOLA SCHOOL'S OUT COLLECTION - SWATCHES & REVIEW #THROWBACK

Sally Hansen has collaborated with Crayola to create specially designed nail polish shades inspired by the Crayola crayon colours we all know and love. 

The limited edition Sally Hansen x Crayola Insta Dri School's Out collection (released in 2018) transports you back to that care-free time of colouring with crayons and sketching out vibrant creations.

I have the 6 polishes from the collection to review for you today :)



WILD WATERMELON

Wild Watermelon is a coral "watermelon" pink nail polish shade.
A very pretty shade of pink!

The formula is absolutely amazing! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's super pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat! 


ATOMIC TANGERINE

Atomic Tangerine is a classic orange nail polish shade.
Perfect for Summer! 

The formula is amazing! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's super pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats! 


INCHWORM

Inchworm is a chartreuse green nail polish shade.
Some may call this an "ugly-pretty colour". 

The formula is amazing for this type of colour! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's super pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats! 


BLUETIFUL

Bluetiful is a cobalt blue nail polish shade.
Very SH "Pacific Blue"-esque, but it's not a dupe *cries*. 
A lovely shade of blue nonetheless. 

The formula is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's extremely pigmented*, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat!  
*It's so pigmented I would definitely recommend wearing a couple of coats of base coat to avoid blue staining. For the record, it didn't stain my nails, but I would still wear base coat just to be safe (no one likes Smurf hands!) 


RAZZLE DAZZLE ROSE

Razzle Dazzle Rose is a fuchsia pink nail polish shade.
OBSESSED with this shade of pink! Always have been, always will be!

The formula is perfection! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's super pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat! 


APRICOT

Apricot is a peach nail polish shade. 
I LOOOVE this colour!

The formula is great especially for the type of colour it is! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It's slightly patchy but it self-levels nicely.

It's super pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats!

This collection is super cool! I really like the colours and formulas.
I love that Sally Hansen has collaborated with Crayola and that the Insta Dri range has made a comeback here in Australia, after being discontinued years ago.

I will say, these polishes do have an amazing wide brush that contours to the nail for smooth and easy application, which I love. They are also really good quality nail polishes and dry super fast. I disagree that they are all opaque in one coat though - I mean most of them are definitely pigmented and opaque enough for a quick and easy out-the-door mani, but I would personally add a second coat for a flawless manicure (and my OCD). 

I cannot wait for the Sally Hansen Insta Dri range to expand - I am especially excited for the Sally Hansen x Jelly Belly collection to launch in Australia!!!
