SINFULCOLORS GET BRIGHT PASTEL NEON MATTE COLLECTION 2017 - SWATCHES & REVIEW #THROWBACK

Well, hello there SinfulColors! 
SinfulColors is an American brand that offer affordable and on-trend nail polish; that pop, wow and flatter, in lovely creme, glitter, shimmer and matte formulas. 

In mid 2017, SinfulColors released a collection of trendy and bright pastel neon nail colours, that dry down to a cool chalky matte finish.

I managed to pick up all 6 of the limited-edition Pastel Neon Matte polishes, back when they were released in 2017, for a #ThrowBack review for you today :)



IN YOUR ELEMELON

In Your Elemelon is a matte pastel neon peach-melon nail polish shade. 
PERFECT for the warmer weather. I could see this looking so AMAZING on tan hands.

The formula is ok.
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 

It needs three - four thin coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.


MAKE A SCENE

Make a Scene is a matte bright neon bubblegum pink nail polish shade.
So girly and fun!

The formula is ok. 
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It needs two - three thin easy coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.


LILAC OUT LOUD

Lilac Out Loud is a matte pastel neon lavender purple nail polish shade.
I am seriously OBSESSED with this one!

The formula is ok.
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It needs two - three thin easy coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.


QUICK STUDY

Quick Study is a matte pastel periwinkle purple-blue nail polish shade.
A lovely "blurple". I like to wear this kind of colour in Spring.

The formula is ok. 
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It needs two - three thin easy coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.


UNDER THE INBLUENCE

Under The Inbluence is a matte pastel neon sky blue nail polish shade.
So SO pretty!

The formula is ok. 
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It needs two - three thin easy coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.


ACID TEST 

Acid Test is a matte bright pastel neon lime green nail polish shade.
Love how eye-searingly bright this green is. I don't really ever wear this shade of green on my nails, but I might just start!

The formula is ok. 
It applies patchy and uneven, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

It needs two - three thin easy coats to even out and build up nicely to full opacity.

I really loved the beautiful bright pastel colours in this collection and their lovely velvet matte finish. BUT, I'm personally not a huge fan of the formulas. They all apply patchy and need around three coats to even the patchiness out nicely. They do however, dry down to their matte finish insanely fast, so needing to apply an extra coat of polish is really not that big a deal. This is in no way a negative review, I just personally felt the formulas were a little bit of a let down for me.

In having said that, the formulas have not influenced me wearing them in the slightest - I have worn each of the shades in this collection multiple times since getting them, and will continue to wear them. I even like adding a coat of shiny top coat over top. 

My personal favourites from this collection are; 
"In Your Elemelon", "Make a Scene" & "Lilac Out Loud".

MODELS OWN AQUAPROOF NAIL POLISH COLLECTION - SWATCHES & REVIEW

CERISE STOPPER

Cerise Stopper is a bright magenta-red nail polish shade. 
Lovely colour! I could imagine this being a great Summer pedicure colour!

The formula is fantastic! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats. 


IMPERVIOUS PINK 

Impervious Pink is a bright neon pink nail polish shade. 
I.AM.OB-SESSED!! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS COLOUR!!

The formula is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats. 


ORANGE SEAL

Orange Seal is a bright neon orange nail polish shade.
So bright it burns my eyeballs! My swatch does no justice!

The formula is lovely. It applies a little patchy, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats, depending on personal preference and application. 


IMPASSABLE YELLOW

Impassable Yellow is a bright yellow nail polish shade.
Such a fun and happy colour!

Super impressed with the formula of this one - It's AMAZING (especially for a yellow nail polish!). It applies *slightly* patchy, but is still so easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail, just like butter. 

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats, depending on personal preference and application. 


AIRTIGHT TURQUOISE 

Airtight Turquoise is a bright turquoise green nail polish shade.
So pretty! A crowd pleaser for sure!

The formula is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It's pigmented*, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats.
*It's so pigmented I would definitely recommend wearing and couple of coats of base coat to avoid green staining. For the record, it didn't stain my nails, but I would still wear base coat just to be safe (no one likes Smurf hands!)

I am really enjoying the Aquaproof collection - the colours are so fun, the formulas are beautiful, and they dry nice and quickly.
They are also super bright and neon WITHOUT a white base coat - AMAZING!!

Soak up the sun, show off your tan and make an impact, with these bright and bold polishes!

I'm so excited that Models Own is finally available here in Australia and can't wait to try out some more amazing colours and finishes!

WISH UPON A STAR

Wish Upon A Star is a multi-chrome nail polish shade which shifts between pink-purple-blue-green, with iridescent flakies and holographic glitter scattered throughout it. 
The colour shift is incredible! So STUNNING!!!

The formula is fantastic - it's packed with glitter and flakies that distribute evenly to the nail (with no need for glitter fishing) and it doesn't lay too thick on the nail. The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It covers really well and builds up beautifully to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.


TALE AS OLD AS TIME

Tale As Old As Time is a jelly pink glitter-bomb with iridescent flakies and micro-glitter, unicorn shimmer and holographic glitters scattered throughout it. 
Love love LOVE the pink, the glitters, and the Beauty and the Beast reference!

The jelly formula is lovely - it's easily buildable, it's packed with glitter and flakies that distribute evenly to the nail (with no need for glitter fishing) and it doesn't lay too thick on the nail. The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It covers really well and builds up beautifully to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.


CINDERELLY, CINDERELLY

Cinderelly, Cinderelly is a sky blue crelly nail polish shade with iridescent flakies, unicorn shimmer (that flashes gold-pink) and fine holographic micro-glitter scattered throughout it. 
So SO beautiful!

The crelly formula is lovely - it's sheer enough for the iridescent flakies to shine beautifully through the blue base, and easily buildable. It's packed with glitter and flakies that distribute evenly to the nail (with no need for glitter fishing) and it doesn't lay too thick on the nail. The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It covers really well and builds up beautifully to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.


ZERO TO HERO

Zero To Hero is a grey nail polish shade with multi-chrome flakies, unicorn shimmer (that flashes gold-green) and holographic glitter scattered throughout it. 
Very pretty!

The crelly formula is fantastic - it's sheer enough for the shimmer and flakies to shine beautifully through the grey base, and easily buildable. It's packed with glitter and flakies that distribute evenly to the nail (with no need for glitter fishing) and it doesn't lay too thick on the nail. The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

I JUST CAN'T WAIT TO BE KING

I Just Can't Wait To Be King is a multi-chrome nail polish shade which shifts between green-blue-purple, with multi-chrome flakies and holographic glitter scattered throughout it. 
The colour shift is incredible! Love it!!

The formula is fantastic - it's packed with glitter and flakies that distribute evenly to the nail (with no need for glitter fishing) and it doesn't lay too thick on the nail. The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well. 

It covers really well and builds up beautifully to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.

These are the first polishes from Glam Polish that I have tried and I am OBSESSED! 
The unique colours / mix of glitter, multi-chrome, holographic, iridescence and flakies is AMAZING and seriously perfection! I also LOVE the Disney name references! 

Formula wise they're all literally flawless - they're easily opaque and apply effortlessly. They're so jam-packed with glittery goodness that they dry down slightly textured and a little dull, so applying shiny top coat over the top would be ideal. 

These polishes are so unique and fun. It's a HUGE thumbs up from me!
I definitely definitely definitely recommend trying Glam Polish!
You will not regret it!

OPI INFINITE SHINE GREASE COLLECTION 2018 - SWATCHES & REVIEW

OPI joins Paramount Pictures in celebrating the biggest and most iconic movie musical of the 20th Century - Grease!
OPI captures the movie's classic, fun and energetic spirit with a collection of retro, bright and deeply saturated summery hues, that are sure to look good on every skin tone
- I got chills and they're multiplying! ;)

The limited-edition Grease collection is offered in both regular nail lacquer and Infinite Shine formulas. Infinite Shine is OPI's answer to gel nails with no UV / LED light, promising up to 11 days of lasting colour and mirror shine in 3 easy steps.  
Here's how it works - 

STEP 1: PRIME

Apply one thin coat of the OPI Infinite Shine Primer base coat to prepared nails (nails completely free of polish, oils, etc).

STEP 2: LACQUER

Apply two thin coats of your desired Infinite Shine colour shade - apply just like regular nail polish. 

STEP 3: GLOSS

Apply one thin coat of the OPI Infinite Shine Glossy top coat over the colour.

A beautiful and classic shade of red. 
Nothing too unique about this one, but it's a good'un! 

The formula is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats! 


SUMMER LOVIN' HAVING A BLAST!

Summer Lovin' Having a Blast! is a bright orange nail polish shade. 
A perfect summer shade - I don't tend to wear orange nail polish, but I can see this becoming a Summer staple.

The formula is fantastic! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats. 

YOU'RE THE SHADE THAT I WANT

You're The Shade That I Want is a bright fuchsia pink nail polish shade.
This is always "the shade that I want" (*ooh, ooh, ooh*) on my nails. 
Love love love this tone of pink! 

The formula is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat! AMAZING!

PINK LADIES RULE THE SCHOOL

Pink Ladies Rule the School is a pastel bubblegum pink nail polish shade. 
So pretty! You're sure to feel like a Pink Lady with this colour on your nails. 

The formula is great! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats. 

HOPELESSLY DEVOTED TO OPI

Hopelessly Devoted to OPI is a pastel coral-peach-pink nail polish shade. 
I am "hopelessly devoted to" these kinds of shades. 
A lovely everyday nail polish colour that will look amazing on all skin tones. 

The formula is nice. 
It applies a little patchy, but is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 

It builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats, depending on application and personal preference (my swatch shows two coats).


FRENCHIE LIKES TO KISS?

Frenchie Likes To Kiss? is a pale lilac purple nail polish shade with a subtle purple shimmer scattered throughout it.
I am obsessed!! The shimmer is barely-there on the nail but it's a lovely shade of purple nonetheless!

It has a crelly formula, and applies ever so slightly patchy. 
Application is still effortless and it glides onto the nails nice and evenly.

It builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats. 


DON'T CRY OVER SPILLED MILKSHAKES

Don't Cry Over Spilled Milkshakes is a vanilla white nail polish shade, with a green undertone to it. 
I love a good white nail polish, and the slight green tone gives this one a little something extra. Really digging this one!

The formula is fantastic - much better then I was expecting!
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats depending on application and personal preference (my swatch shows two coats).

MEET A BOY CUTE AS CAN BE

Meet a Boy Cute As Can Be is a pale buttercup yellow nail polish shade. 
Literally the first yellow nail polish I actually like and doesn't make me look Jaundice! 
I could see myself wearing it! It's such a pretty tone of yellow!

The formula is really nice, especially for a yellow (yellow nail polish are notorious for having bad formulas). It applies ever so slightly patchy, but application is still effortless and it glides onto the nails nice and evenly.

It builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats, depending on application and personal preference (my swatch shows two coats).


WAS IT ALL JUST A DREAM?

Was it All Just a Dream? is a pastel turquoise green nail polish shade. 
Love love love this colour! A crowd pleaser for sure!

The formula is nice. It applies ever so slightly patchy, but application is still effortless and it glides onto the nails nice and evenly.

It builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats, depending on application and personal preference (my swatch shows two coats).


TEAL ME MORE, TEAL ME MORE 

Teal Me More, Teal Me More is a pigmented teal green nail polish shade. 
LOL at the name of this one - I can hear the song in my head!

The formula is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well. 

It's super pigmented*, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat! AMAZING!

*It's so pigmented I would definitely recommend wearing and couple of coats of base coat to avoid green staining. 
For the record, it didn't stain my nails, but I would still wear base coat just to be safe (no one likes Smurf hands!)

CHILLS ARE MULTIPLYING!

Chills Are Multiplying! is an ink blue nail polish shade with a beautiful lighter blue shimmer scattered throughout it. 
I always love icy sapphire blue nails! I have to admit, this one does look nicer in the bottle than it actually does on the nail (in my personal opinion), but it's still super pretty. 
You can catch the pretty shimmer in direct sunlight and it's glorious! I think this one would look lovely matte.

The formula is fantastic! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats. 


DANNY & SANDY 4 EVER

Danny & Sandy 4 Ever is a shimmery metallic charcoal grey nail polish shade with silver, blue and purple shimmer scattered throughout it. Very similar in concept to OPI Coalmates from the Love OPI XOXO collection from last year (it's not an exact dupe). 
Very very pretty! The shimmery particles look so cool! I'm getting serious leather jacket vibes. 

The formula is lovely! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well. 

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats, depending on personal preference.

I think this collection encapsulates the movie Grease perfectly - the names and the colours are seriously perfection! I am really enjoying the colour palette and loving the retro, yet modern, vibes it gives off. 

The formulas of the polishes in this collection were generally good, I had no issues with application, and they build up to opacity beautifully.
I also really enjoy the Infinite Shine three-step system and do experience substantially longer-lasting manicures when using it. 
Definitely recommend... - let's be real, I'm hopelessly devoted to OPI ;)

I really like every shade in this collection, but my personal favourites are; "You're the Shade That I Want", "Pink Ladies Rule the School", "Frenchie Likes To Kiss?", "Don't Cry Over Spilled Milkshakes", "Meet a Boy Cute As Can Be" & "Chills Are Multiplying!". 

I am sure there is a shade in this collection for everyone!
