NEW SALLY HANSEN COLOR THERAPY SHADES (MARCH 2018) - SWATCHES & REVIEW

Sally Hansen have introduced nine new luxurious nail shades to the Color Therapy* range.

*Color Therapy blends saturated colour and a nourishing complex of natural Argan, Acai, and Evening Primrose Oil to condition weak, dry nails.
- the Color Therapy nail polish and top coat contain a patented micro-delivery system that delivers an Argan Oil-enriched formula, resulting in intensive nourishment and instant moisture, for healthier looking nails - It's the ultimate nail therapy!

Enjoy the ultimate nail therapy in three easy steps with Sally Hansen Color Therapy
Here's how it works -

STEP 1: NAIL COLOUR
Apply two thin coats of a Color Therapy Nail Colour of your choice to clean, dry nails; ensuring each coat is completely dry before applying the next coat.

*No need for base coat!
For full benefit, let the oil complex in the nail colour make direct contact to the bare nail.
This will allow the nourishing oils to diffuse into the nail plate; providing simultaneous colour and care.

STEP 2: TOP COAT
Apply a thin coat of the Color Therapy Top Coat (when the nail colour is completely dry) to add a glossy shine and extend polish wear.

STEP 3: NAIL & CUTICLE OIL

Finish by applying some Color Therapy Nail & Cuticle Oil to nails and cuticles for an instantly healthier, restored, and rejuvenated look.

I have 8 of the new Sally Hansen Color Therapy nail shades to review for you today :)

RE-NUDE
Re-nude is a nice nude nail polish shade.

The formula of this one is kind of crelly-like and sheer, and applies slightly unevenly and patchy. It is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail nonetheless.

It builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats.

SUNRISE SALUTATION
Sunrise Salutation is a deeper nude nail polish shade.

The formula is fantastic! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats.

BURNISHED BRONZE
Burnished Bronze is a stunning bronze - copper nail polish shade.
I love this one! Very trendy!

The formula is fantastic! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It applies evenly and self-levels well.

It covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats.
Minor brush strokes* are slightly evident when this is applied, so I highly recommend using the three-stroke-method of application to limit the appearance / amount of visible brush strokes. *the brush strokes are hardly noticeable!

WINE THERAPY
Wine Therapy is a deep red wine colour with gold shimmer scattered throughout it.
The combination of the saturated red and vibrant gold shimmer is so pretty, my swatch really does no justice!

The formula is perfect! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats.

STEELY SERENE
Steely Serene is a neutral taupe nail polish shade.
A very flattering neutral I'm sure will appeal to many.

The formula is great! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.

IN MY ELEMENT
In My Element is a gunmetal / silver nail polish shade.
Love!! I wore this the other day and added a shimmery holographic top coat - it looked even more amazing!

The formula is fantastic! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats.
Minor brush strokes* are slightly evident when this is applied, so I highly recommend using the three-stroke-method of application to limit the appearance / amount of visible brush strokes. *the brush strokes are hardly noticeable!

UNWINE'D
Unwine'd is a deep Bordeaux red nail polish shade.
It's such a "sexy" shade of red ;)

The formula is fantatsic. The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It's extremely pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat!

PLUM EUPHORIA
Plum Euphoria is a purple metallic multi-chrome nail polish shade.
I cannot begin to explain how excited I was when I saw this nail polish. The multi-chrome effect (it shifts from purple - blue - green) looks magical in the bottle. I just wish the amazing effect translated more strongly to the nail. The multi-chrome effect is only (barely) noticeable at certain angles. It is still a super pretty purple though and I like it a lot.

The formula is great! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and self-levels well.

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.

*  *  *

I have featured the Color Therapy range on here before and can genuinely say it is by far my favourite range by Sally Hansen. The Color Therapy nail polishes I have tried in the past have had generally fantastic formulas that apply effortlessly onto the nail, are easily opaque, and dry super quickly and glossy - these new polishes are no different! I really quite enjoyed the beautifully saturated autumnal colour palette of these new Color Therapy polishes.

I also love that the Color Therapy polishes have the same amazing signature wide flat brush Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure & Miracle Gel line have; making the polish so easy to work with and application using the three-stroke method a breeze.

I have worn these without base coat, as Sally Hansen have suggested, and can honestly say that the general appearance of my nail beds has improved. Also, I quite enjoy the way the polish feels on my nails - it actually DOES feel moisturising and nourishing just like when applying moisturising hand cream. I really love the idea of being able to wear beautiful polish that simultaneously cares for my nails.

Sally Hansen claim the Color Therapy system should last for up to 10 days on the nail. I did not wear these polishes for the full 10 days to test the claim, but I did have a few of them on for a full week / 7 days. The polish wears pretty well. The polish only suffered some tip wear (which is to be expected). Other then that, I had no major chips, and the glossiness of the polish did not dull at all. Really impressed!

My personal favourites of these new Color Therapy shades are; "Burnished Bronze","Wine Therapy", "In My Element" & "Plum Euphoria".

Treat your tips to a nourishing manicure with Sally Hansen Color Therapy!

SALLY HANSEN XTREME WEAR "DREAM SCENE" COLLECTION SHADE EXTENSION - SWATCHES & REVIEW

Experience a spectrum of classic, trendy and wearable nail colour, combined with an unforgettable shiny finish and long-wearing formula; with the new Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 'Dream Scene' collection.

I have the 6 new Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Dream Scene shades to review for you today :)

RED-ICAL ROCKSTAR
Red-ical Rockstar is a bright red-orange nail polish shade.
It's so bright it's almost neon!

The formula is fantastic! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's extremely pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat!

CAMEL-OT
Camel-ot is a camel / tan neutral nail polish shade.
It looks like it has the slightest delicate silver shimmer scattered throughout it, giving it a little "something something" on the nail (it's barely noticeable unless you're looking for it).

The formula of this one is a little weird (it's almost sheer / crelly-like).
It applies slightly unevenly and patchy.

It builds up nicely to full opacity in two thin coats.

DAYCREAM
Daycream is a neutral ballet slipper pink nail polish shade.
I love how feminine this looks on the nail.

The formula of this one is also weird (it's kind of sheer / almost crelly-like).
It applies unevenly, streaky and patchy, which is pretty standard for this shade of polish.

It builds up to full opacity nicely in two - three thin coats depending on application.
I highly recommend using thin coats, the three-stroke-method of application and trying to not over work the polish, for best results.

I love the colour, but i'm really not digging the formula of this one, which is disappointing!

ON CLOUD SHINE
On Cloud Shine is a delicate pearlescent pink nail polish shade with flashes of gold undertones. I am OBSESSED with this one!
I have already worn it three times since I got it, which says something!

The formula is great. It applies evenly and effortlessly glides onto the nail.

This polish would be best worn as a topper over another nail polish.
It literally transforms any polish to pearlescent goodness. It's seriously amazing!
It is quite sheer so I doubt it could be built up to full opacity on its own.
I personally enjoy the delicate effect of one coat on my bare nails. So pretty!
My swatch shows three thin easy coats on it's own.

DROP THE BEET
Drop the Beet is a deep fuchsia / "beetroot" pink nail polish shade.
I love love love this one! It's so pretty!
So perfect for this time of year!

The formula is fantastic! The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's extremely pigmented, covers really well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat!

ROCK MY WAY
Rock My Way is a chocolate brown nail polish shade.
I don't typically gravitate towards browns, but this is a good'un.

The formula of this one is almost crelly-like which is strange, considering the nature of the colour. It is still easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.

*  *  *

I like the classic colour palette in the Dream Scene collection, but to be completely honest, this Xtreme Wear collection did not "wow" me as much as Sally Hansen collections normally do; it was just kind of "meh" to me. It could be because the formulas of these Xtreme Wear polishes aren't as amazing as the Complete Salon Manicure, Miracle Gel and Color Therapy formulas I have become accustomed to. It's not the worst nail polish I've tried by any means, but it's definitely not the best (in my opinion).

My personal favourites from the collection are; "On Cloud Shine" & "Drop the Beet".

Go to the "extreme" with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail polish.
Which shades will you be picking up?

I have all 12 OPI Lisbon Infinite Shine shades to review for you today :)

SUN, SEA AND SAND IN MY PANTS
Sun, Sea and Sand in My Pants is an egg-yolk yellow nail polish shade.
Not your typical primary yellow shade. I don't have anything else like it in my collection.

The formula is ok - yellow nail polish is known for its notoriously bad formula, this one doesn't have the best formula, nor the worst. The polish is easy to apply, effortlessly glides onto the nail and self-levels well.

It's pigmented and builds up to full opacity nicely in two - three thin coats depending on personal preference.

SUZI CHASES PORTU-GEESE
Suzi Chases Portu-geese is a stark white nail polish shade.
It has the slightest pink tone to it. I really like this one!

The formula is really good for the type of colour it is.
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats depending on personal preference and application.

MADE IT TO THE SEVENTH HILL!

The formula is really good.
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.
Slight brush strokes are evident when this is applied, so I highly recommend using the three-stroke-method of application to limit the appearance / amount of visible brush strokes.

YOU'VE GOT NATA ON ME
You've Got Nata On Me is a salmon-peach nail polish shade.
It's very pretty!

The formula is great.
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.

LISBON WANTS MOOR OPI
Lisbon Wants Moor OPI is another white nail polish shade.
This one is slightly more neutral and has more of a nude tone to it compared to Suzi Chases Portu-geese. It's very nice!

The formula is good for the type of colour it is.
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats depending on personal preference and application.

TAGUS IN THAT SELFIE!
Tagus in That Selfie! is a baby pink nail polish shade.
It looks just like strawberry ice cream to me.
I am obsessed with this one!

The formula is great.

It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats.

NO TURNING BACK FROM PINK STREET
No Turning Back From Pink Street is a bright magenta pink nail polish shade.
Love it! These kinds of pinks are always right up my "street" ;)

The formula is perfect! It is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats depending on personal preference.

WE SEAFOOD AND EAT IT
We Seafood and Eat It is a bright (almost neon) crayfish red nail polish shade.
I just love this one - the name, the colour, everything!

The formula is perfect! It is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats depending on personal preference.

NOW MUSEUM, NOW YOU DON'T
Now Museum, Now You Don't is a burnt / rusty orange metallic nail polish shade with a cool red flash to it. I don't tend to like orange toned nail polish but really enjoy this one! I don't have anything else like it in my collection!
I also really like the name of this one. Can we just take a minute and praise OPI for the awesome polish names in this collection - well done OPI, big thumbs up!

The formula is great.
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.
Slight brush strokes are evident when this is applied, so I highly recommend using the three-stroke-method of application to limit the appearance / amount of visible brush strokes.

A RED-VIVAL CITY
A Red-vival City is a bright orange-red nail polish shade.
It's a good one, but nothing special.

The formula is perfect! It is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's pigmented, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats depending on personal preference.

TILE ART TO WARM YOUR HEART
Tile Art to Warm Your Heart is a cobalt blue nail polish shade.
A pretty standard blue shade that we've seen before, but it's a good one.

The formula is perfect! It is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It's extremely pigmented*, covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one - two thin coats depending on personal preference.
*I was expecting it to stain my nails blue when I wore it, so I wore two coats of base coat - It didn't stain me, but I would still wear a couple of coats of base coat, since it's so pigmented, just to be safe :)

CLOSER THAN YOU MIGHT BELÉM
Closer Than You Might Belém is a sea green-teal nail polish shade.
Haven't seen a shade like this from OPI in a long time.
I'm sure this one will be crowd pleaser - and for good reason, it's beautiful!

The formula is great.
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.

*  *  *

I am really enjoying the colour palette of the Lisbon collection.
The formulas of the polishes in this collection were generally good, I had no issues with application, and they build up to opacity beautifully.
I also really enjoy the Infinite Shine three-step system and do experience substantially longer-lasting manicures when using it.
Would definitely recommend!

I really like every shade in the Lisbon collection, but my personal favourites are; "Suzi Chases Portu-geese", "Tagus in That Selfie!", "No Turning Back From Pink Street", "We Seafood and Eat It", "Now Museum, Now You Don't" & "Closer Than You Might Belém".

I am sure there is a shade in this collection for everyone!
Transform your nail polish collection and try the new OPI Lisbon collection for yourself!
