SALLY HANSEN INSTA DRI MATTE METALLIC COLLECTION - SWATCHES & REVEIW

Sally Hansen have added to the Insta Dri range with some new shimmery metallic shades that dry to a cool matte finish.

I have the 7 new Sally Hansen Insta Dri Matte Metallics, that were released in Australia, to review for you today :)



GOLD RUSH 

Gold Rush is a metallic yellow gold nail polish shade with ultra fine pink and green shimmers scattered throughout it.


ROSE FLUSH

Rose Flush is a metallic peachy nude nail polish shade with ultra fine pink and gold shimmers scattered throughout it.


SMOKEY SILVER

Smokey Silver is a metallic silver nail polish shade with ultra fine silver, teal and purple shimmers scattered throughout it.


SMOLDERING TEAL

Smoldering Teal is a metallic teal nail polish shade with ultra fine blue and green shimmers scattered throughout it.


VIOLET VELVET

Violet Velvet is a metallic blurple nail polish shade with ultra fine pink and purple shimmers scattered throughout it.


BURNISHED WINE

Burnished Wine is a metallic brown nail polish shade with a red-gold shimmery flash, and ultra fine holographic particles scattered throughout it.


MOLTEN MAUVE

Molten Mauve is a metallic red nail polish shade with a brighter red shimmer scattered throughout it.

Sally Hansen have these Insta Dri polishes labelled as 
"1 stroke. 1 coat. [And] Dry in 60 seconds."

Although the formulas are good, I disagree that they are all opaque in one coat - I mean most of them are definitely shimmery and pigmented enough for a quick and easy out-the-door mani, but I think they all need at least two coats (as seen in my swatches) to really bring out the gorgeous shimmer and for a nice and flawless manicure.

As with all matte polishes, these dry super fast, so it is important to work quickly when applying them. The amazing wide brush these Insta Dri polishes have, perfectly contours to the nail for smooth and easy application, in a single swipe; which makes application super quick, and prevents the appearance of brush strokes. 
I also definitely recommend wearing a coat of base coat (especially if you have ridges / textured nails), just to ensure the polish looks nice and smooth when it dries down to the matte finish.

As much as I enjoy the cool velvet matte effect the polishes in this collection have, I just had to see how these would look with a coat of shiny top coat...

Wow! Look at that shimmer!
I have to say, I think I personally prefer the way the gorgeous shimmers in these polishes are enhanced with shiny top coat! So pretty!!

NEW BARRY M MOLTEN METAL NAIL PAINTS 2018 - SWATCHES & REVIEW

Barry M have just added more shades to their amazing Molten Metal Nail Paint range to keep us all on trend. The Molten Metal Nail Paints are Barry M's answer to show-stopping chrome-effect nails that have a mirror-shine foil finish that glisten for days.

BLUE GLACIER

Blue Glacier is an icy blue metallic nail polish shade with silver shimmer scattered throughout it. It literally glows on the nails! So pretty!!

The formula is fantastic! 
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well. 

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.


BLACK DIAMOND 

Black Diamond is a black foil metallic nail polish shade with a silver shimmer scattered throughout it. Sexy and sleek. I love this one! 

The formula is fantastic! 
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well. 

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in one thin coat!!

Gold Rush is a gold foil metallic nail polish shade with a stunning pink-red duo-chrome flash to it. LOVE the effect! I am obsessed!!

The formula is fantastic! 
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail.
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well. 

It covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.


HOLOGRAPHIC LIGHTS

Holographic Lights is a delicate silver scattered holographic nail polish shade. 
It's not the most holographic nail polish, but you can definitely see pure holographic goodness in every light! My swatch shows it in the shade - it really comes alive in direct sunlight and artificial lighting. 

The formula is lovely! 
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well. 

It's a little sheerer than the other shades, but builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two - three thin coats. 


HOLOGRAPHIC ROCKET

Holographic Rocket is a purple scattered holographic nail polish shade. 
It's not the most holographic nail polish, but you can definitely see pure holographic goodness in every light! My swatch shows it in the shade - it really comes alive in direct sunlight and artificial lighting. 

The formula is lovely! 
The polish is easy to apply and effortlessly glides onto the nail. 
It isn't streaky or patchy and it self-levels well.. 

It's covers well and builds up to full opacity nice and easily in two thin coats.

Barry M have smashed it out of the park, yet again, with these Nail Paints!
I have featured the Molten Metal Nail Paint range on here before* and can genuinely say it is by far my favourite range by Barry M. 
The formulas of these nail paints are practically perfect - they apply effortlessly onto the nail, are easily opaque and dry super quickly! They are filled with amazing shimmery (and holographic) goodness that sparkles in every light - so pretty and on-trend! 
I love me some shiny metallic nails so it is no surprise that I am totally obsessed with these!

I also really like the amazing wide brush these nail paints have that make the "three-stroke-method" of application effortless. There are also no brush strokes evident when they dry down which is awesome, especially for metallic nail polish. 

I have been trying to pick my favourites to recommend but it's just way too hard to choose. I am obsessed with all of them - they're all seriously that good! 
Definitely recommend trying them out! They are amazing!
So excited for more colours to be added to the Molten Metal Nail Paint range!
